The Bank of New York Mellon has promoted Frank La Salla to lead its hedge fund administration business.
La Salla was named CEO of alternative investment services. Previously, he was managing director at BNY subsidiary Pershing, in charge of its global business and growth effort.
La Salla succeeds Samir Pandiri, who has led the alts. business for the past two years. Pandiri remains CEO of asset servicing.
At Pershing, La Salla’s responsibilities have been taken on by others. He remains on the board of its British affiliate.
