DoubleLine Capital has snared a Pacific Investment Management Co. executive to lead its push into new lines of business abroad.
Ignacio Sosa was named head of DoubleLine’s new product solutions group. He’ll report directly to DoubleLine founder Jeffrey Gundlach when he starts on May 12.
“Jeffrey and his team have built a growing, nimble, client-focused company, with diversified strategies in fixed income and equities,” Sosa said. “Their track record of risk-adjusted returns speaks for itself. So joining DoubleLine at this early stage in its development is especially compelling.”
Sosa was vice president for global bond product management at Pimco, which was shook earlier this year by the departure of top executive Mohamed El-Erian.
