Hedge Fund IT Specialist Proactive Technologies Opens LA Office

Apr 30 2014 | 2:12pm ET

New York-based Proactive Technologies, a provider of technology and IT services to hedge fund and investment firms, has hung its shingle in Los Angeles.

The firm, which currently serves more than 60 funds representing a variety of asset classes and strategies, has been active in the LA market since 2012. Its clients have assets under management ranging from $50 million to $10 billion.

“We see a lot of opportunity in southern California,” said Proactive President Jacob Cane in a statement. “Los Angeles area funds have typically lacked options when it comes to finding an IT partner with deep industry expertise and a strong local presence. With the launch of our Century City location, LA-based funds will no longer need to compromise.”

Proactive Technologies was founded in 2007.
