The Carlyle Group’s hiring spree for its solutions platform continues apace with the addition of former Schroder Investment Management executive Curtis Johnson.
Johnson will handle sales and marketing at Carlyle Solutions, initially for its Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management Unit. He’ll eventually also cover hedge and private-equity funds.
Johnson’s hire follows those of former Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners chief Jacques Chappuis last February, former UBS managing director Neil Collins, former KRG Capital investor relations head Reidan Cruz, and former Partners Group employees David Lei and Sarah Schwarzschild.
At Schroder, Johnson was director of U.S. institutional business development. Prior to joining that firm, he worked at BlackRock.
