Johnson will handle sales and marketing at Carlyle Solutions, initially for its Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management Unit. He’ll eventually also cover hedge and private-equity funds.

At Schroder, Johnson was director of U.S. institutional business development. Prior to joining that firm, he worked at BlackRock.
