Ackman Would Work With Icahn

A month ago, they were at each other’s throat. Now, William Ackman and Carl Icahn are trading compliments, and the Pershing Square Capital Management chief said he might even do business with a man of whom he once said, “his word is worthless.”

Speaking to Bloomberg Television on the sidelines of the Sohn Investment Conference, Ackman said that he and Icahn were not “currently working on anything.”

“But you would?” Bloomberg’s Stephanie Ruhle asked.

“I think I would,” Ackman replied.

“You would?” an astonished Ruhle asked again.

“It’s possible,” Ackman said. “Sure.”

Ackman and Icahn reconciled after nearly a decade last month.
