V2 Capital Taps Biz Development Head

Investment advisor V2 Capital has hired Kristin Scherer as managing director and head of global business development.

Scherer joins V2 from liquid alternatives specialist Marketfield Asset Management. Before Marketfield, she held various positions at AllianceBernstein.

In her newly created position at V2, Scherer’s primary responsibility will be to implement and execute the firm’s global marketing efforts for the V2 Hedged Equity Strategy.

V2 founder and CIO Victor Viner said: “We are thrilled to have Kristin join our growing team at V2. In her new role as head of global business development, she will be leading our marketing efforts in the institutional space, leveraging her prior successes and experiences at Marketfield and AllianceBernstein.”

V2 Capital is based in Glenview, Illinois and had an estimated $510 million in assets under management as of May 31, 2014.
