CQS Adds Bhramavira Founder Ryan

CQS has hired a former hedge fund founder to bolster its quantitative ranks.

Barry Ryan has been named a quant. modeler at the hedge fund, according to a regulatory filing. Ryan was a co-founder of Bhramavira Capital Partners, which closed in 2008.

Prior to setting up that firm, Ryan was a prop. trader at Nomura Holdings, where he also worked on the fixed-income relative-value desk. He moved in 2003 to the Royal Bank of Canada before founding Bhramavira in 2005.
