The former head of convertible bonds and fixed-income at CQS has returned to the hedge fund industry after almost five years away.
Paul Casey has joined Palmerston Capital Management, the credit hedge fund founded earlier this year by former JPMorgan Chase European credit-trading head Stuart Wain. Casey becomes the sixth partner at the London-based firm, Financial News reports.
Casey left CQS in 2009, two years after becoming chief investment officer for fixed-income and convertibles. He’s spent the intervening years studying, earning a master’s degree in theoretical physics and becoming a CFA charterholder.
