LCM Group, an alternative asset manager, is expanding from Florida to Dallas, Texas.

Firm founder and CIO D. Scott Luttrell and the entire LCM investment team will be based in the new Dallas office, along with a new hire—managing director and partner Heath Flock.

Flock comes to LCM from CMT Asset Management where he served as managing director and portfolio manager. Flock’s duties at CMT included managing of CMT’s hedge fund and private equity portfolios, chairing the investment committee, and serving as managing director of business development. Prior to CMT, Flock was a director in portfolio management at Equity Office Properties and before that, a consultant with Bain & Company.

In his new role at LCM, Flock will assist in all aspects of the asset management business, including serving on the portfolio investment team and the investment committees, as well as contributing to business development.

“I am excited for the opportunity to build upon LCM’s long track record of success in the alternative sector, especially with regards to its multi-manager hedge funds and the firm’s more recent expansion into the liquid alternatives arena,” said Flock in a statement.

Founded in 1988, LCM Group specializes in alternative investments including hedge funds, fund of funds and liquid alternative investment portfolios that employ a multi-asset allocation approach utilizing ETFs.
