Former Canyon Partners portfolio manager Michael Green has launched his own hedge fund with $110 million in assets under management.
Green described the fund to FINalternatives as global macro discretionary.
Green is the founder and CIO of New York-based Ice Farm Advisors, which was established in December 2013.
Justin Hester, the former CFO of Varna Capital Management and Pelagic Capital Advisors, serves as CFO of Ice Farm.
Prior to founding Ice Farm, Green founded and managed the New York office and global macro strategies for Canyon Capital Advisors, a $23 billion multi-strategy hedge fund based in Los Angeles.
Prior to Canyon Partners, Green was a portfolio manager with Royce & Associates, a $39 billion division of Legg Mason where he managed open-end, closed and 130/30 mutual funds focused on small-cap equities and a portfolio manager and principal at Moody Aldrich Partners, a $1 billion separate account manager in Marblehead, MA.
