BlueCrest Capital Management’s former risk chief has poached a pair of veterans of his old firm.

Luigi La Ferla and Cameron Christie have joined Jonathan Martin at Markham Rae, Financial News reports. Both were most recently working at World Trade Capital Partners, having joined that firm from BlueCrest when it was founded in 2012. Martin had left BlueCrest a year earlier.

Prior to his six years at BlueCrest, during which he ran its trade-finance Mercantile Funds, La Ferla worked at Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank. Christie joined BlueCrest in 2008.
