Cheyne Adds Cazenove, Gartmore Vet

Jul 21 2014 | 10:26am ET

Cheyne Capital has lost four partners over the past two months, but has also added one.

The hedge fund named Kuldip Shergill a partner last month, Financial News reports. His addition comes as four top members of Cheyne’s event-driven team—Simon Davies, Joseph Gebran, Michel Massoud and Anooj Unarket—have left the firm.

Shergill started at Cheyne late last month.

Shergill was most recently a senior European equities analyst at Cazenove Capital, leaving that firm—which was acquired by Schroders last year—in May. He formerly worked at Cheuvreux International, Gartmore Group and Merrill Lynch.
