Hedge Fund Redemptions Drop In July

Investor redemptions from hedge funds fell sharply this month, after a quarterly-rebalancing-induced spike last month.

The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator dropped from 4.8% in June to 3.15% in July SS&C Technologies said. The index measures forward redemption notices received by hedge funds administered on the firm’s GlobeOp platform.

“July’s forward redemptions decreased by over 1%, but remain in line with historical averages,” SS&C CEO Bill Stone said.
