Antaeus Teams With Ex-NBA Star To Teach Financial Literacy

Former NBA star Antoine Walker has teamed with Boxborough, Mass.-based Antaeus Wealth Advisors (formerly Sohn & Associates) to re-launch his youth financial literacy campaign.

Walker, who gave and gambled away the $110 million earned during his 13-year NBA career, will restart The 8 Foundation, which aims to “develop and deliver a comprehensive financial literacy program to an under-served segment” of the youth population.

Antaeus Wealth Advisors will provide age-appropriate educational material and teaching tools.
 
To kick-off the partnership and re-launch, they hosted a special Boston screening of the documentary Gone in An Instant, which chronicles Walker's rise and fall from playing in the NBA to facing felony charges stemming from gambling debt in Las Vegas.

Now successfully navigating bankruptcy, Walker is on a mission to educate others on financial literacy, using his own story as a warning.

Antaeus Wealth Advisors aims to create educational materials on subjects ranging from the importance of saving to the wise use of credit cards.
