Asia’s Quantedge Hits US$1B

One of Asia’s best-performing hedge funds has become one of its biggest.

Quantedge Capital’s flagship Global Fund has topped US$1 billion in assets, it told Bloomberg News. The firm, which debuted with just US$3 million in 2006, now manages US$1.05 billion.

Quantedge, a macro specialist, has managed annualized returns of 33% since inception, making it the best Asia-focused macro hedge fund around, according to Eurekahedge. The fund is already beating its high average this year, with a 36% jump through last month.
