Griffin Donates $1M To Rauner's Illinois Gov. Campaign

Hedge fund billionaire Kenneth Griffin definitely has a dog in this fight.

The Citadel founder and CEO just gave another $1 million to the Illinois gubernatorial campaign of Republican Bruce Rauner.

That brings his total donations to Rauner since last year to $4.58 million in cash or in-kind services, according to state campaign records.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn was not impressed. Said a spokeswoman for the incumbent in a statement:

“The richest man in Illinois continues to look after his investment in billionaire Bruce Rauner’s efforts to eclipse the interest of the middle class and put their economic security at risk.”
