What was your best investment idea in 2014?
London real estate has continued to perform extremely well, and this has been a great bet in 2014. The London property market definitely cooled off during the middle of the year, however, this was only a positive as it lines up the market nicely for longer-term sustainable growth. Moving forward, we are particularly bullish for the residential property market UK-wide, as the simple fact is, there has been a huge under-supply of new housing coming into the market. With the election next year, there will likely be some softness, however we believe that it has a long way yet to run. We’d prefer it to be slower and steadier for longer, and we think that is what we are likely to see.
