Morgan Stanley has teamed with Tremblant Capital to launch a new fund, the MS Tremblant Long/Short Equity UCITS Fund, under its FundLogic Alternatives umbrella.

The fund provides exposure to Tremblant Capital’s Long/Short Equity Strategy, which employs a fundamental and research driven approach.

The fund's strategy aims to generate risk-adjusted returns by identifying potential investments trading at material dislocation from fair value across sectors and regions.

“This strategy uses a highly experienced investment team, supported by an innovative proprietary research and data sciences group, to generate long-term performance through a Long/Short Equity strategy,” said Stephane Berthet, Head of the FundLogic Alternatives Platform at Morgan Stanley. “We believe it will complement our existing offering by expanding our coverage of global Long/Short equity managers.”

The FundLogic Alternatives Platform currently has more than $2.4 billion in assets under management, as of Dec. 31.

Discussing the launch, Jim Eckert, President and COO of Tremblant Capital Group, said: “We are excited to partner with Morgan Stanley and look forward to leveraging their expertise in the UCITS market. The operational expertise of the FundLogic Alternatives Platform, coupled with its stringent risk management and robust infrastructure makes this a first class service we are delighted to be part of.”
