John Mutch, president and ceo of San Diego, Calif.-based software company DanPeregrine Systems, is reportedly preparing to launch an activist hedge fund in January. The new fund will be called MV Advisors I.
DanPeregrine, is currently in the process of being acquired by Hewlett-Packard.
