Blackrock Hires Dixon As EMEA Head

BlackRock has hired Luke Dixon as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa hedge fund investment strategies.

Dixon was previously co-head of public market manager selection with Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), the U.K.’s second-largest pension fund, where he helped the $65 billion fund invest more than $2 billion into hedge funds around the world. He resigned from USS last month.

Before joining USS, Dixon held stints in hedge fund due diligence at JP Morgan and at hedge funds Ermitage, Aurum and Northwater Capital Management. He is a past president of the London chapter of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.
