Private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CDR) have hired Ravi Sachdev as a Partner.

Sachdev was previously managing director for healthcare coverage and co-head of healthcare services for investment bank JP Morgan. Private equity firms are increasingly interested in the healthcare industry as structural and regulatory changes in the industry open up potential deal flow.

Before joining JP Morgan, Sachdev was a healthcare banker for Deutsche Bank. He worked at boutique healthcare investment bank Peter J. Solomon earlier in his career.

Mr. Sachdev was recently named to Institutional Investor's Top Ten Rainmakers and Investment Dealer's Digest 40 Under 40 lists, according to a press release.

Founded in 1978, New York-based CBR is among the oldest PE firms in the country. It has managed the investment of $21 billion in 63 businesses with an aggregate transaction value of approximately $100 billion.
