Fund-of-hedge funds firm K2 Advisors has hired Joe Hernandez to lead the firm's efforts to target public pension funds and other large institutional investors. Hernandez, who joins the firm from Acento Securities, will work alongside Lynda Petrossian, an institutional marketer and managing director at K2.
Acento was a boutique broker/dealer that was founded by Hernandez. It recently went out of business. K2 has $5 billion in assets under management.
