Online private equity marketplace iCapital Network has hired Michael Mastey as Senior Vice President, Investor Network, to oversee the Atlantic and Southeast regions, and Melissa Iagulli as Senior Vice President, Investor Network covering the West Coast.

iCapital is an online marketplace providing qualified investors and their advisors with access to private equity fund managers.

A veteran of the asset management industry, Mastey has more than 30 years of experience leading both institutional and retail channel business development efforts in the asset management industry.

He joins iCapital from PNC Capital Advisors where he led the retail distribution team and, prior to that, was head of alternative investments, responsible for all aspects of development and growth of PNC’s proprietary alternative product platform.

Prior to PNC, Mastey led institutional sales for Bear Stearns Asset Management and was head of retail distribution for the Bear Stearns Private Client Service Advisor Platform, where he was responsible for advancing private equity and hedge fund solution sales into the marketplace. Mastey’s earlier experience includes leadership positions with the institutional sales division of Rydex Investments and the RIA distribution team at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services, among other roles targeting the RIA market.

“Michael’s decades of leadership in the converging worlds of institutional and retail investing make him a perfect fit for iCapital as we work to bring more independent RIAs, family offices and institutions onto the platform,” said Lawrence Calcano, Managing Partner, iCapital Network. “We look forward to leveraging his impressive depth of experience in the industry to accelerate our mission of bringing private equity access to a broader audience.”

Melissa Iagulli joins iCapital with over a decade of experience conducting advanced financial analysis and developing strategic recommendations for institutional and retail financial services firms.

She previously served as Director of Strategy at Charles Schwab, where she employed data driven insights to improve the client experience and optimize the company’s acquisition programs and product platforms. Prior to Charles Schwab, she held analyst positions at investment management and wealth management firms including FLAG Capital and Hall Capital.

“We are thrilled that Melissa has joined our team to assist in building iCapital’s brand and reputation within RIA and wealth management circles on the West Coast,” said Calcano. “Melissa’s established track record of driving new business results, and her insights-driven approach should prove tremendously valuable as we look to educate the advisor community on the unique market opportunity that the iCapital platform can offer their clients.”
