David Slade has joined UBS as global co-head of leverage finance and leverage capital markets.

Slade previously worked at Stockholm-based private equity firm EQT Partners, where he was partner and co-head of the firm’s credit business. Before joining EQT, Slade worked at Credit Suisse as co-head of the European leveraged finance team.

Slade will be based in London and begin in mid-May. He will report to William Vereker, head of Corporate Credit Solutions for the bank. He will be responsible for marketing, originating, structuring and distributing leveraged debt. He will share the role with Brendan Dillon and Francisco Pinto-Leite, who are also global co-heads of leveraged finance and based in New York.

The move is the latest from UBS aimed at restructuring its investment banking operations.
