Investcorp Appoints Gaglani as CRO for Hedge Fund Unit

Investcorp has hired Sunil Gaglani as Chief Risk Officer for the firm’s Hedge Funds business.

Gaglani will be responsible for monitoring the risks of investments made across the firm’s hedge fund business, including fund of funds, single managers, special opportunity, and alternative beta portfolios. He will be a member of the company’s Hedge Funds Investment Committee and report to Lionel Erdely, chief investment officer of the Hedge Funds Group at Investcorp.

Prior to joining Investcorp, Gaglani was head of risk at Mariner Investment Group, where he focused on internal funds. At Mariner, Gaglani was responsible for analyzing potential risks of the firm’s multi-strategy and single strategy funds and development of its risk infrastructure. Prior to this, he was at Cantor Fitzgerald.

Investcorp is a leading provider and manager of alternative investment products with approximately $11 billion in assets under management.
