INTECH Hires Georgiu, Young For Business Development Roles

Global equity manager INTECH Investment Management has bolstered its business development ranks with the addition of Andreea Georgiu and J. Bret Young to the firm.

Georgiu and Young will join as managing directors, according to a press release issued by the company. They are responsible for developing and managing new business opportunities, with the goal of establishing new client relationships in the U.S. and Canada. Both positions are new and report directly to John Brown, executive vice president and head of global client development. 

Previously, Georgiu was vice president, institutional sales at Cornerstone Capital Management, while Young was head of institutional and private wealth distribution at Curian Capital. They began work at INTECH on May 11, the release noted. 

“Andreea Georgiu and Bret Young each bring to INTECH extensive experience and credibility working with plan sponsors," said Brown in the release. “Both have a proven track record working with institutional clients, and have exceptional reputations in the industry. They are great additions to the INTECH team." 

Georgiu brings more than 22 years of industry experience to the company, including 16 years cultivating relationships with large corporate pension plans, public funds, foundations and endowments. Young has nearly 30 years of asset management experience, of which approximately eight years were spent working with institutions. 

A subsidiary of Janus Capital Group, INTECH had about $51.2 billion in assets under management as of March 31. It was founded in 1987 is headquartered West Palm Beach, FL.
