Point72 Asset Management has promoted Rachel D’Antonio to the position of Treasurer.

D’Antonio was previously head of operations for the company, which was formerly SAC Capital and now is a family office primarily managing the wealth of hedge fund magnate Steven Cohen.

As Treasurer, D’Antonio will be responsible for overseeing equity financing for the company, including the stock loan function, and management of credit counterparty relationships. She will also handle contract negotiations across products and counterparties, according to a press release.

In addition to her new role, she will continue performing her current responsibilities as head of operations. She will report to Tim Shaughnessy, Point72’s Chief Operating Officer.

“Rachel brings deep industry experience and institutional Firm knowledge to the Treasurer position,” said Doug Haynes, President of Point72, in the release. “In her 11 years at the Firm, including in her most recent position as Head of Operations, Rachel worked tirelessly to adapt infrastructure systems and processes to accommodate the Firm’s growth. I am confident that she will continue to grow and succeed in her new role.”

D’Antonio joined the company in 2004 to manage fixed income operations for the Operations group, and was appointed head of operations in 2010. Before she joined Point72, D’Antonio spent nine years at JPMorgan.
