Law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz has hired Robert Cornish to serve as counsel and a member of the Securities/Corporate Governance practice group. In his new role, Cornish will be based in Memphis, Tenn., and will concentrate his practice in the regulation of investment managers, broker/dealers, investment funds, securities and commodities.
His experience includes assisting asset managers in the formation of investment vehicles as well as the structuring, formation, and ongoing compliance of broker/dealers, investment advisers, hedge funds, commodity pools, and other investment funds, both domestic and offshore.
Prior joining the firm, Cornish served as general counsel for Bolton Investment Group, a managed futures fund manager, and as chief legal and compliance office for Pacific Income Advisers.
