Tell us a bit about your company’s main technology and what it does?

SatuitCRM is the industry-leading CRM software for buy-side investment professionals including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Institutional Investment, Wealth Managers and Alternative Investments. The software was developed for the specific needs of the buy-side and is preconfigured to support sales and client service needs including deal and lead tracking, relationships to third parties (consultants), compliance requirements, and reporting. The Satuit team has applied our collective experience in the investment industry to deliver Relationship Management Solutions that drive success. We build, support and service our own product.

How is SatuitCRM different than others in the same space?

The Satuit team understands that buy-side investment professionals face unique sales and service challenges. SatuitCRM provides sales and client relationship management software built specifically to track complex relationships including consultants and third parties. It does not involve the use of third party firms to modify it to fit the needs of each firm. The pricing model allows a client to know ahead of time what its costs will be. Also, by integrating with leading back office systems and partnering with the top data providers, we give our clients the most comprehensive CRM platform on the market.

Satuit utilizes monthly per user license fees plus professional services related to specific projects such as training, integration, custom reporting and consulting.

Who is your target market? How big is the opportunity?

Our target market consists of Institutional Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Wealth Managers. We believe the CRM market is still a billion plus dollar opportunity while our new product, Client Report Automation is largely untapped.  Our integrated CRM and Client Reporting platforms sets us apart from all competitors.

Great people supporting a great product. Our success comes from our knowledge and experience in the buy-side asset management industry. Many of our employees came from our target market firms and give our team an in depth knowledge of how our clients work. Employees get extensive training on using SatuitCRM because we use it too. We see this as the best way to ensure that our clients are getting the best possible product. Also, the fact that we do not use any 3rd parties during development, implementation, training or support ensures our clients are always speaking with the most knowledgeable team.

What is your company’s next target/milestone?

Client Report Automation, which can be implemented as a stand-alone product for any client administration team regardless of the CRM they have adopted or as a seamless add-on to SatuitCRM.    
 
Can you tell us one unusual fact about your company?

Satuit refers to the Native American name for a cold brook, one of which runs into the harbor in Scituate, MA. Our CEO and Founder, Karen Maguire makes her home in Scituate. The office has a number of mementos of the firm’s devotion to contributing to the community. Our staff participates in both Cradles to Crayons and Toys for Tots. We are partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive again this summer.

Also, our CFO is involved with The Carter Center, a nongovernmental organization founded in 1982 by former President Jimmy Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, which monitors democratic elections in third world countries. He also works with Habitat for Humanity and traveled to Haiti to build houses following the massive earthquake there in 2010. He is going to Nepal this Fall to help build homes there after the devastating earthquakes in April and May.
