Private equity firm Advent International has recruited two new principals, Dan Morgan and Albena Vassileva, to its Central and Eastern Europe team. The firm now boasts 16 people dedicated to the region.

Morgan joins from Kaupthing, where he has been director of the bank’s specialist private equity division since 2005. Previously, he spent nine years as an investment director with 3i in London and Stockholm.

Prior to joining Advent’s new Prague office, Vassileva spent seven years with ABN Amro Capital as a senior investment manager working on technology, media and telecom deals.

Joanna James, managing director of Advent International, said: “As we approach 2008, with a rapidly expanding private equity market in C&E Europe, we are delighted to welcome two such high caliber investment professionals to the team.”
