Zachary Barnett has been appointed as leader of Chicago-based Mayer Brown’s Fund Finance practice.

Barnett’s experience includes representing both borrowers and lenders in connection with subscription facilities, in addition to advising commercial banking clients engaged in domestic and international secured and unsecured financing transactions. He also serves as co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Syndicated Lending practice.

“Zac’s new title is a reflection of the leadership role that he has already been fulfilling for several years, and he has earned the trust of his colleagues,” said Doug Doetsch, Chicago partner and co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Banking & Finance practice, in a statement.

Lawyers in Mayer Brown’s Fund Finance practice have represented the lead agent and lenders in more than 300 subscription credit facilities since 2007. They are experienced documenting the full suite of fund and portfolio-level financings including subscription-backed credit facilities, NAV facilities, private placements, hybrid facilities, open-end fund facilities, management fee credit lines and an assortment of leveraged asset level transactions.
