AXA Investment Managers Adds Three To U.S. Executive Team

Global asset manager AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has made three key appointments to its Americas team as part of its growth strategy for the region.  

Jamison Gagnier joins as director of U.S. institutional sales from Loomis, Sayles & Co., an investment subsidiary of Natixis, where he was responsible for institutional sales of equities, fixed income and alternatives, including hedge funds. In his new role, he will focus on the institutional marketplace in the eastern half of the U.S. and Canada and report to Steve Sexeny, head of the U.S. client group.

Rafael Tovar joins as director of U.S. wholesale offshore sales from Nikko Asset Management, where he was responsible for business development across Latin America Pensions and Offshore Bank Platforms, Family Offices and Consultants. In his new role, Tovar will focus on expanding AXA IM’s offerings in the growing offshore market. He will report to James Wallace, head of US wholesale and sub-advisory distribution.

Leticia Aymerich joins as head of client service, Americas from AXA Investment Managers in Spain, where she most recently served as the head of client service and Legal. Prior to joining AXA IM in 2006, Leticia held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at both Legg Mason’s and Commerzbank’s asset management groups in Spain. She will play a critical role in managing client on-boarding and reporting, implementing key regulatory policies and procedures, and building out a dedicated client service structure in Mexico, and report to Xavier Thomin, head of AXA IM Americas.

All three executives will be based in AXA IM’s Greenwich, CT offices.

AXA IM managed approximately $772 billion in assets the end of June 2015 from 28 offices in 21 countries. The company is part of the AXA Group, a global leader in financial protection and wealth management.
