New York-based M.D. Sass has hired Daniel Fishbane as senior vice president and CFO effective today. Prior to joining M.D. Sass, Fishbane was CFO of Pequot Capital, a $7 billion multi-strategy hedge fund based in Connecticut.

"He is ideally suited to lead our 17-person accounting and finance teams' implementation of extensive new state-of-the art systems to support our rapidly growing, 15 internally managed investment strategies."
M.D. Sass currently manages more than $13 billion in assets, comprised of hedge funds, private equity funds and separately managed accounts.
