New York-based M.D. Sass has hired Daniel Fishbane as senior vice president and CFO effective today. Prior to joining M.D. Sass, Fishbane was CFO of Pequot Capital, a $7 billion multi-strategy hedge fund based in Connecticut.
"We are delighted that Dan's 23 years of investment industry experience will be made available to lead our firm's corporate and fund accounting groups," said Martin Sass, CEO of M.D. Sass. "He is ideally suited to lead our 17-person accounting and finance teams' implementation of extensive new state-of-the art systems to support our rapidly growing, 15 internally managed investment strategies."
M.D. Sass currently manages more than $13 billion in assets, comprised of hedge funds, private equity funds and separately managed accounts.
