Tages Capital Appoints Kermisch as Chief Executive Officer

Tages Capital, the asset management business of the Tages Group, has appointed former Mariana Investment Partners CEO Jamie Kermisch as its new chief executive.

A seasoned alternatives industry executive, Kermisch was group managing director of Fauchier Partners, a leading institutional fund of hedge funds asset manager, prior to his role at Mariana role. Beforehand, he spent more than twenty years at leading investment banks, including senior executive positions at Morgan Stanley where he managed the bank’s hedge fund client businesses in Europe as well as its Special Situations Group focused on multi-asset event-driven investment strategies.

Subject to regulatory approvals, Kermisch will be joining Tages in October, according to the company.

“Jamie brings a wealth of alternative asset management experience and leadership to Tages Capital,” noted Panfilo Tarantelli, founding partner of Tages Group, said in a statement. “He is a great hire for us as we continue to establish ourselves as one of Europe’s leading alternatives providers.” 

"Jamie’s breadth of knowledge and skills will be key to driving our ambitious plans for future growth,” added Tarantelli. “These include hiring a number of new investment teams across various investment strategies, where we intend to invest $600 million of seed capital in 2016. We will also be strengthening our distribution capability for our multi-manager solutions.”

Operating since 2011, Tages Capital is the asset management arm of $6 billion multi-manager and distressed debt specialist Tages Group. It has approximately $2.2 billion in assets under management across 12 multi-manager funds and five segregated institutional mandates. In 2014, Tages Capital established a strategic partnership with La Francaise Asset Management, a leading asset manager in France with over US$55 billion in assets under management.
