Convergex Hires Former GAIN Capital CFO Emerson for Operations Role

Global brokerage and trading services provider Convergex has hired former GAIN Capital CFO Jason Emerson as managing director, head of operations and strategic planning.  

Emerson will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s global operational initiatives, and will also a member of the firm’s executive committee, where he will play an instrumental role in developing Convergex’s overall business strategy. The position is new.

Emerson joins Convergex with nearly 20 years of expertise in business and project management, strategic planning and financial regulation.  He was most recently CFO for GAIN Capital, and has held various senior positions at firms including Knight Capital Group, Instinet, Merrill Lynch and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
