Global corporate services and fund administrator Elian has expanded its funds depositary team with the appointment of Kerstin Lindgren.

Lindgren’s focus will be on developing depositary services for alternative investment funds domiciled in Luxembourg. She has 15 years’ experience in the investment fund industry, particularly in depositary, global custody and stock lending services. Prior to her new role, she was head of custody services at Stockholm-based SEB S.A., where she worked for more than 12 years.

The appointment comes just a month after Elian was granted a license to provide professional depositary services from its Luxembourg offices.

“We have seen strong interest in our depositary offering in the lead up to our launch,” commented Paul Lawrence, Elian's managing director in Luxembourg, in a statement. “Kerstin's appointment brings extensive experience and particular expertise that enables us to work effectively with managers of alternative funds to thoroughly understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions.”

Elian’s depositary core services include cash flow monitoring, safekeeping of non-custody assets and oversight of alternative investment funds to ensure management in accordance with its principal documents.

Through its network of 11 offices around the world, Elian specializes in the establishment and ongoing administration of companies, funds and trusts for multi-national corporations, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, family offices and fund managers.
