Hedge fund administrator Apex Group is opening a Malta office, aiming to boost its European business.
The Bermuda-based firm, which boasts more than US$5 billion in assets under administration, plans to service traditional funds, funds of funds, hedge funds and private equity funds at the new office. Apex Fund Services (Malta) is expected to begin operations soon. The office will focus on managers in European Union countries and neighboring areas.
