Allianz Global Investors Names AXA IM Exec Ahmad Head of Institutional Europe

Diversified active asset manager Allianz Global Investors has named former AXA Investment Managers executive Irshaad Ahmad head of institutional Europe. 

Ahmad will assume business development and client servicing responsibility for all institutional clients in Europe, and further develop the firm’s institutional business in key regional markets. He will assume the new position effective January 1, according to the company. 

Ahmed will report to Tobias Pross, who is head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and be based in London. Upon joining Allianz GI, he will chair the European institutional executive committee and become a member of the European executive committee, said the company. 

Before joining Allianz, Ahmad was head of U.K. for AXA Investment Managers.

Tracing its roots to 1890, Allianz GI has approximately €427 billion in assets under management for individuals, families and institutions worldwide.
