Evercore has added Yong Seok (Andy) Lee to its Private Funds Group office in Hong Kong office, further expanding the team's presence in the Asia Pacific region.

Lee joins Evercore's Private Funds Group, where he will cover limited partners and general partners in the Asia Pacific region, with a primary focus on Korea. This hire strengthens the team's distribution capability in Asia, building on its established global distribution footprint, according to a company statement.

Lee joins the firm from UK based placement agent Campbell Lutyens, where he was a founding member of their Hong Kong office. He spent five years at Campbell Lutyens Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for coverage of the Korean market, on private equity, private debt and infrastructure investments. He has over 15 years of experience in financial markets, working across Seoul, Hong Kong and New York.

Prior to commencing his career in finance, Mr. Lee was a Strategic Advisor to the United Nations Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea in New York.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be adding a coverage banker of Andy's caliber to the team,” said Ian Bell, head of Evercore's Private Funds Group - Asia Pacific. “His knowledge of the private markets space, coupled with his deep institutional relationships in Korea, puts us in a stronger position to provide the highest quality service to both LPs and GPs in the extremely important Korean market."

"Korean LPs are shifting towards global alternative investments at a rapid pace, and at the same time, they are demanding access to more high quality investment opportunities across private equity, real assets, and credit,” added Richard Anthony, global head of Evercore's Private Funds Group.

Evercore is an independent investment services & advisory firm. The company’s Investment Banking business advises its clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, financings, public offerings, private placements and other strategic transactions.
