Forum Equity Appoints Novograd to Head of Energy and Renewables

Forum Equity Partners appointed Nikolas Novograd as Principal, Energy and Renewables.

Novograd will be based in San Francisco and will focus on new investment opportunities, furthering Forum Equity Partners’ focus on the North American renewable energy industry.

Along with our recent acquisition of United Wind, this move advances our renewable energy investment strategy in the U.S.,” said Richard Abboud, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Forum Equity Partners.

Novograd has held senior executive positions within the energy investment industry, where most recently he was Vice President, Origination at Renewable Energy Trust Capital.

Before joining RETC, he was a Director in Wells Fargo’s Renewable Energy and Environmental Finance Group, where he originated and structured tax equity investments in wind and solar power projects.

Prior to Wells Fargo, he was Head of Finance at NextLight Renewable Power LLC, a solar power developer backed by Energy Capital Partners, which was sold to First Solar, Inc., where he was Vice President. Mr. Novograd began his career as a dproject finance banker, holding positions at MUFG, ABN AMRO Bank and GE Capital.

Novograd received an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
