Arrowgrass Capital Partners Raises $600M For M&A Fund

Arrowgrass Capital Partners has raised more than $600 million for an event-driven M&A fund launched last October.

The fund, named the Arrowgrass Customized Solutions I Fund, which be managed by Arrowgrass event-driven head Michael Edwards, according to a Bloomberg report citing a source with direct knowledge of the matter.

The fund will reportedly run for 18 to 24 months and will seek to leverage moves in companies that have both been named as acquisition targets and in those doing the acquiring. Edwards has been with Arrowgrass since 2010 and held positions at Nusa Capital Management and D.E. Shaw prior to joining the firm.

London-based Arrowgrass was founded in 2008 by former Deutsche Bank trader Henry Kenner and a group of associates. The firm manages a total of approximately €4.48 billion, according to Reuters, and was up 0.54% for the year to date through early March.
