Fund administration specialist Maples Fund Services has been selected by the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System to provide consolidated performance and risk reporting services to its $3 billion pension plan.

Following the arrival of CIO James Perry in 2015, the pension system has implemented broad improvements to its investment program, including the implementation of sophisticated investment strategies aimed at augmenting performance and realigning liquidity in its portfolio, according to a statement.

The sophisticated and customizable platform offered by Maples will provide Dallas Police & Fire with a robust operational infrastructure, reporting and granular analysis of performance and risk drivers for the fund’s investment team. In addition, Maples Fund Services will act as an extension of the fund’s investment team and will support ad-hoc reporting for various projects.

“The success of our investment programm will be defined by enhanced risk adjusted performance and liquidity realignment, and it is vital to have a knowledgeable partner with whom the board and the investment team can collaborate to define appropriate metrics and reporting,” said Perry. “We are confident that the independent calculations from Maples Fund Services’ customizable reporting platform will not only provide us with the transparency and insight necessary to execute our new investment strategies but also increase the overall governance of the portfolio.”

Maples Fund services is a division of MaplesFS, which along with subsidiaries Maples Fiduciary and Maples Private Client Services, provides specialized fiduciary, fund administration, accounting, entity formation, management & trust, and private client services around the world for alternative investment management firms, institutional investors, pension plans and global financial institutions.
