Wilmington Trust has strengthened its collateral management team with the hire of former Perficient executive Scott Linden.

Linden will come aboard as product leader for Wilmington’s collateral management business within the company’s global capital markets division, according to a statement. He will oversee collateral management as part of the institutional custody business, as well as product development and growth. He will be based in New York.

Linden has over three decades of experience in financial services, twenty years of which has been in the collateral management space. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, he was director of collateral management consulting at Perficient. Beforehand, he was collateral management product manger for BNY Mellon, and also held roles at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.

“We are thrilled to add Scott Linden to our team,” said Amy Stengel, managing director of institutional administrative services at Wilmington Trust. “Scott’s expertise will help position Wilmington Trust to be very competitive in the Collateral Management space, particularly as the financial markets prepare for the upcoming regulations for derivatives transactions.”

Founded in 1903, Wilmington Trust provides institutional trustee, agency, asset management, retirement plan services, and administrative services for clients worldwide who use capital markets financing structures. Bought by M&T Bank in 2010, the firm is one of the largest holders of fiduciary assets in the United States, and has clients in all 50 states and in more than 90 countries.
