MUFG Investor Services Names Trentacosta As Sales Director

Global asset servicing specialist MUFG Investor Services has appointed former Och-Ziff Capital Management executive Daniel Trentacosta as sales director.

Trentacosta will play a key role in driving business development in North America for the company’s asset servicing solutions across hedge funds, fund of funds, and private equity/real estate funds, according to a statement. He will be based in New York and report to John Sergides, managing director and global head of business development.   

Trentacosta joins from Och-Ziff Capital Management, where he was head of the Treasury Operations team for two years. Beforehand, he held a number of senior roles in prime brokerage sales and relationship management at Morgan Stanley.

“We are excited to have Daniel on board at an important time in our growth,” said Sergides in a statement.  “His experience in the alternative investment industry will be invaluable in driving the business forward.”

MUFG is the global asset-servicing arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. The company offers fund administration, middle-office outsourcing, custody, depository, trustee, fund of hedge fund financing, FX and wider banking services.

The company has 90 years of custody experience, 350 years of banking history, has run a global securities lending program for 20 years, and provides administration services for over 2,400 funds across all investment strategies, asset types and fund structures.
