GAMCO Asset Management Hires Pollard for European Distribution Role

GAMCO Asset Management (UK) has named former Invesco executive Henry Pollard to the position of managing director of sales, a new distribution position for the UK and Europe.

Pollard will market GAMCO’s various products to leading industry providers including consultants, wealth managers and family offices, according to the company. He will be based in London. 

Prior to joining GAMCO, Mr. Pollard served with Invesco as regional sales director. He also previously worked in the commodity and alternatives industry and was a founding member of EMFA, the predecessor to AIMA. He currently serves as a pension fund and charity trustee and is an elected Member of the City of London Council.

“We are pleased to welcome Henry to Gabelli as we further develop our business in the UK and beyond,” noted portfolio manager Robert Leininger in a statement. 

GAMCO Asset Management is the private advisory division of GAMCO Investors, which along with mutual and closed-end fund business Gabelli Funds, LLC managed approximately $38.7 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2016.
