Private equity fund administration specialist Gen II Fund Services has joined The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation’s Alternative Investment Product Services platform.

AIP is a DTCC platform that links global market participants, including B/Ds, fund managers, fund administrators and custodians, together, noted the company in a statement. It creates a single end-to-end process for alternative investments, providing a single standard, efficient end-to-end process for alternative investments including private equity, hedge funds, funds of funds, non-traded REITs, managed futures and limited partnerships.

Gen II’s membership in the AIP services means the firm can now seamlessly service private fund sponsor clients that maintain investor relationships with RIAs.

“Joining the DTCC services is an important step for our clients and their investors,” said Steven Alecia, Gen II’s chief client officer, in the statement. “For those sponsors that work closely with the Registered Investment Advisor community, they can take comfort in our ability to expertly support their relationships and provide consistent, detailed reporting to the end investor.”

Founded in 2009 by Norman Leben, Steven Millner, and Steven Alecia, Gen II Fund Services covers more than $120 billion of private capital and reports to over 8,500 LPs on behalf of clients. The independent company has broad expertise across buyout, feeder funds, infrastructure, energy, credit, real estate, co-investment, hybrid funds, funds of funds, venture capital, and managed accounts.
