Origami Capital Partners Raises $371M For Third Private Equity Fund

Investment bank Sixpoint Partners has completed the final closing for Origami Capital's third opportunities fund, raising capital commitments of approximately $371 million.

The fund, which is the third investment vehicle for Origami Capital Partners, received commitments from investors such as including endowments, foundations, multi-manager funds, consultants, public pensions, corporate pensions and family offices, Sixpoinrt said in a statement.

The new vehicle's strategy involves buying assets trapped in complex legal structures or difficult ownership situations and providing the owners of these illiquid assets with flexible and creative liquidity solutions.

Sixpoint Partners served as exclusive global placement agent for the offering.

“The Origami team is excited about the opportunities we are seeing in the market and are pleased to be able to capitalize on them with Fund III,” said Origami CEO Thomas Elden in the statement.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Chicago, Origami Capital Partners is a private equity firm that acquires assets trapped in complex structures and provides patient, flexible solutions to owners. The firm has invested $700 million since inception.
