Perella Weinberg Partners has brought Alex Tracy aboard as a managing director in the firm’s advisory business.

Tracy will be a member of Perella’s restructuring practice and be based in New York, the company said in a statement.

Tracy was most recently a managing director at Miller Buckfire & Co., where he focused on originating, structuring, negotiating and executing a wide range of complex transactions, including out-of-court and chapter 11 restructurings, exchange and tender offers, mergers and acquisitions, and financings. Beforehand, he worked at Chanin Capital Partners, a specialty investment bank, and began his career at Prudential Securities Incorporated.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alex to our team,” said Bruce Mendelsohn, partner and head of restructuring for Perella Weinberg Partners, in the statement. “With his addition, we now have more than 25 restructuring professionals in New York and London focused on meeting the increased demand from clients for restructuring related advice.”
