TA Associates Announces New Hires in Boston and Menlo Park

Global private equity company TA Associates has strengthened its investment staff through one hire in its Menlo Park office and two in its Boston headquarters. 

The company announced on Wednesday that Michael Libert and Lee Mooney have both rejoined the firm as vice presidents in Boston, while Sarah Wang has joined the firm as a vice president in Menlo Park.

Libert will focus on investments in technology companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, he was an associate in the company’s Boston office, and was previously an associate consultant in the private equity and technology groups at Bain & Company. 

Mooney will focus on investments in consumer and healthcare companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, he was also an associate in the Boston office of TA. Beforehand, he was an analyst in the global healthcare investment banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. 

Wang will focus on investments in financial and business services companies across North America. Prior to attending graduate school, she was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, and previously served as a global capital markets analyst at Morgan Stanley. 

“We are excited to expand our investment team with the addition of Sarah and the return of Michael and Lee,” said Brian Conway, chairman and managing director at TA Associates, in a statement. “We look forward to their contributions as we continue to seek new investment opportunities and partner with companies in our existing portfolio to help accelerate growth.”
