Hedge fund administrator Caledonian Global Fund Services is boosting its U.S. sales and marketing team with the hire of John Peterson.

Peterson, who joins the firm’s Chicago office as head of U.S. sales and marketing, has been charged with expanding Caledonian’s presence in primary hedge fund markets across the U.S.

Peterson “is well known in the industry and brings over 15-years experience to the Caledonian team in such an important role,” said Ali Mudeen, director of Caledonian Global Fund Services.

“In addition, we believe that this is yet another step in the right direction as we seek to deliver unparalleled client service and solutions to managers of hedge funds and fund of funds.”

Peterson served as a managing member at administrator Trident Financial Services before joining Caledonian. He has also worked as a third-party marketer for hedge funds.
